1966 L-36 PVC routing and clips

I was at a local chapter meet today were a very nice original restored 3 owner car came with a L-36. the car did get top flight. but on his car he had the two clips the one on the intake, and the one off the carb. I always thought it was one or the other but not both. what is the correct way.

I thought the intake manifold bolt mounted bracket was used with 390 HP engines and the carburetor stud mounted bracket was used for the 425 HP engines because the aluminum intake manifold was taller and the carburetor sat higher on the engine.
I don't think both were used on either engine??

Here's what I got from the judging manual. The L-36 has a support bracket at the right front of the carb AND a support bracket painted engine color installed at the second intake manfold bolt to support the PCV hose. .

Could be that the additional carburetor stud mounted bracket was also used on 390 HP engines. I'm not sure.
I don't have any good GM engine pictures of a 66 390 HP with the air cleaner off.

There's no mention of the bracket in the L36 section of the AIM but it is shown for L72.
