    1970 rocker molding re-paint

Just got back my 1970 rocker moldings from being buffed and reanodized. I am going to use SEM self-etching primer for the stripes, as this seems to be close to the original color/sheen/texture from previous posts.

Took pictures of how they looked before I sent them out, and the lower edge was wavy. The upper, deeper edge was fairly consistent, and painted completely. Pretty sure they were original and not repainted before I sent them out. Other posts decscribe just an overspray coating on the upper lip.

Anyone have any insight on how the stripe should look on the long edges? Thanks in advance for the help.

Marc, Here is a small picture of my 71 D/S rocker molding. If you can enlarge the photo you will see a "wave" to the black paint along the upper edge, fairly straight along the bottom edge. Sorry it's the best picture I have saved.....

    Regards,

    Kevin
