1977 Corvette - "GLASS" T-Tops?

This question is for a Friend who has a 1977 Corvette, eventhough Chevrolet/Corvette DID NOT produce any GLASS T-Tops in 1977, were any "RELEASED" in a very small limited amount prior to having them as an option("CC1") in 1978??

I think from 77 to 78 changes were made in the T-Tops and the pin latch in the rear started. The newer style has been installed on eariler cars but not at the factory that I know of.
