Original '66 KO Wheel Weights ?

This weight seems to fit the contour of the inner lip perfectly.

The tire is U S Royal (but not a Laredo). According to J.H., in a post 4 days ago, the non-DOT date code deciphering is unknown for other manufacturers than Goodyear.

It does not appear to be an original wheel weight to me. Here are pics of NOS KO wheel weights. I have other sizes which have the same configuration and markings except for the size.

Thanks, Don -- so I have some jobber weight . Well at least it looked as if it had been on there a long time (bought the wheels in 1978).

Using your GM tag, I confirmed that these are KO weights, in particular the 1 ounce size Gr 5.805, # 3830799 (choice of 1/2, 1 or 2 oz.) in my July 1 Rev. of the P&A30 catalog.

I agree with Don. I've never seen a KO wheel weight like the one on your wheel. I too have a few NOS KO weights in the original bags. I also have one original that I removed from an original KO wheel from a 66 (#5644) and the configuration is just like the others.
Also, of interest, is the fact that it's a 2 1/2 oz, a size that was never available in service, so we know it's a weight that was installed at St Louis. The only sizes available in service were 1/2 oz, 1 oz and 2 oz.

Looks like a 30 gram weight that has been cut down.
