I am working on a date correct 3810 holley for my 67 and have a question about the metering block. This block appears to be warped as can be felt by my thumb on the side that mates to the main body. It's opposite the ported vacuum slot but in the same area in that flat.
Has anyone ever had any luck plaining the block flat eliminating the ridges inside and ridge that goes around the outside? I can't see how this would hurt, I appreciate any comments.
I can purchase a new blank metering block and it will be drilled to the 4743 specs if last resort but it will probably not match the original in color or small nusances.
