    Oil Pressure Gauge

After rebuilding the engine on my '69 BB, I decided to replace the oil pressure line with kit #2134K from Paragon. Bubba had been in there and changed the original black line to clear plastic, eliminated the brass tube and fittings from the oil filter area fitting to the bracket on the left rear cylinder head, and evidently eliminated a 90 degree elbow fitting on the oil pressure gauge. The straight fitting he used with external threads doesn't even appear to use a ferrule. See attached photos.

Lucky for me I have Dave Walters nearby. We studied the situation and he went looking in his parts drawers and came up with a used 90 degree elbow. Where in the heck would you come up with that fitting otherwise? Winters doesn't even have one similar.

You mean like this? I don't know where you can get one. It was discontinued without supercession in July, 1983. I don't know of a reproduction, but there may be one.

That looks like the culprit alright. We knew it was a GM part. Thanks.
