Code Number on the AC Compressor Foil Label ...

Could someone please tell me the code that goes on the foil sticker?

My car is a 2nd (day 10) week April 72 production.

I think it shoudl be something like --- 040521

I am going to give typing on the foil a try. It will go through the laser printer, figure I try 12 point bold Courier font to start.

Bill, my apr. 72 car has the original decal and its dated 032721. the body build date on my car was apr. 21st.

On my 1967 factory air car, the a/c compressor date code is approximately 7 weeks prior to my car build date. Mid January a/c compressor build and late March car build at St. Louis.

For 1972, the spread could be less since a lot more cars had air conditioning, but I would still recommend at least 3-4 weeks prior to the car build. Code would be 030621 or something similar. That codes to Monday March 6, 1972, first (day) shift.

I think that date scheme that Larry suggested will work well for my car.
It is in a reasonable range.

I am going to do one with a typewriter (my inlaws have a IBM from the late 60's) and one with the laser printer.

Bill, I did edit my post I put a wrong number in the mix. as Larry says mine is about 3 weeks prior to the car build .
