Could some of you give your opinions/experiences with the following carb rebuilders?:
1. customrebuilt carbs-Phil Concilla
2.All State Carbs-"Jimmy" or "Bob"
3.Any recommendations on others

I 100% agree. Eric is the best in the business. He has done 4 or 5 carbs for me. I will not send a carb anywhere else.

I used Jerry Luck about 5 years ago, installed it started it and haven't touched it in 5 years and 10,000 miles.

Eric did mine less than two months ago and I could not be happier. Great customer service and "bedside manner". Extremely responsive. He will do my next one.

Jerry has my 69 tri-power Holley's right now and Eric did my 69 4346 Holley (L78 Camaro). Can't go wrong with either one.

I sent my carb to Jerry Luck in October 2008 for a rebuild and after repeated efforts including faxes, emails, letters, and phone calls still dont have any idea when I can expect it back.

If anyone knows of the best way to contact Jerry or what sort of backlog he has I would be very keen to hear. I am told he is suffering ill health which might explain it, but certainly not too excited about the contact he maintains with his clients. His work is reportedly excellent so i'm hoping patience is a virtue.

I was going to use Jerry about 8 years ago. He would not answer calls period. I tried for a month to get him. I decided that if he was that bad at answering calls for work whats he like when he has your carb for a year. I used Bob Kunz and was very happy. All I had to do when the car started up was ajust the idle. It is still running fine. I'm not sure if he is still doing carbs. I think his son was taking over for him as he was cutting back.

Custom Built Carburetors does a good job, rebuilding or supplying what you need. Mine works and looks great.

Bob Kunz did one for me about a year ago. He is semi-retired, but still restores some carbs. His turnaround was pretty quick, three weeks if I recall correctly.
