I am trying to locate a source for Stainless Windshield Trim for a 72.

I think that used is going to be the only viable option. The pieces are long-since GM-discontinued, and I don't think that any are currently reproduced. Try a source like Pacific Corvette or Paragon Vintage.

Got lucky at Carlisle and picked up SS trim for a reasonable price. Now about that big block hood........

        Dick-----

Are the high quality, match-molded reproduction hoods that much different than originals? I've never really looked very closely at them or compared them with an original side-by-side.

          Hi Bruce,
Since the trim is stainless steel and there is good access to the backside of each piece, restoring marred trim is very possible for people that do that kind of thing and can even be done at home.
