Hi
I bought in April this year a WCFB 3191S carburetor which has to be "newly restored to show quality" from a member on Corvette Forum
and I haven't drove a mile yet!Thats the problem living so long from where the stuff is that it cost to much to return the part.I have read on this Forum and the Corvette Forum trying to find out whats the problem is and I have ordered a repair Kit from the "Caburetor Doctor" because maybe it would help, but I haven't found the "real" fault in the Carb.
Here are my problem:
In slow Idle there comes a little bit of gas out from the Primary Jets and that means the car stop/drowned after 5-10 minutes.
My floats are correctly set and my fuel Pump press. are 5,5 Psi.
The Carb have been cleaned at least 5 times and nothing seems to be wrong but it wouldn't go in more 5 -10 min.and after it is very diff.to start.
I haven't got the repair Kit yet so maybe there are some who know the answer on this problem!
A Carburetor "Expert" here in Denmark says that the Carb is totally finished and he said that I never will get it working proberly, "buy a new one" he said but im very stub-born and off course it has allready cost me about $ 1265,- so please if someone knows anything then write
Best regards Jorn from Denmark
