I searched all over this forum and internet for detailed photos of the jack storage compartment cover board (carpeted masonite). I am trying to recreate the board. Cannot remember now if the finger hole goes on the passener side or driver's side. Also, I have new decals, and would like to see a photo of an original or correct resto to determine placement. Mine is a '64 with normal bolt on wheels. In '64 did they have the Stephens label or the carpet inspection label? I bought the "11" decal from LI Corvette as it showed as all years on their site.

Re: C2 Storage Compartment Cover Details
Hi Brian
Thumbhole bezel was on the P/S.
Noland's and Dobbins resto books both have the pics you are looking for.
I believe they are available through the bookstore on this site.
You might also check with your local Chapter for a member with an original piece.

This is from our February built 63 coupe. Pretty sure it's original but may have different label placement from the norm. Carpet was not original so it's gone.

Re: C2 Storage Compartment Cover Details
Although labels now missing here's where they went on for at least one Mar64 car.
The cover is original still including the carpet, but missing labels.
Believe most judges expect them on the other side however most members agree there was no rule as to where to glue them. Note only 2 labels!Last edited by Alan D.; June 16, 2010, 07:24 AM.- Top

Re: C2 Storage Compartment Cover Details
I am replacing the jacking instructions decal and want to know how it gets attached? It's a simple piece of paper that was glued on. Does anyone know the practice that was used?
