63 paint question

If I take the door hinge off of the body on a 63, what color should the A pillar be where the hinge used to be bolted? (assuming the car is still as it left the factory) Unpainted? Body color? Primer? Psychodelic? (sp?)

OK, I've seen that color before. Isn't there also some glass under there, if so, should it be bare? Mike

Yea late at night my dyslexia rears it's ugly head.

As far as bare glass goes the hinges were installed before paint and prime so when the are removed the coverd area will be bare glass.

OK, now it makes sense. I saw a pic today and couldn't figure out if the white under there was original glass color, or paint, or what. Thanks a lot for your help, Mike
