    70 Radio/speaker Wiring Harness

    Hi all. Crunch time continues on my 70 restoration w/ the Jenkintown meet scheduled for 10/11/09. I find myself needing the harness that connects the speaker connector from the radio to the 2 front speakers. I've tried some of the usual suppliers ie Lectric Limited, Paragon etc. w/o success. Does anyone know of a supplier/individual who may have this harness?

      Joe do you need the whole harness? I may have the connectors that hook-up to the speaker ends.
      New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.

              Try Volunteer Vette. They show a speaker harness, part number DA28D.

                  I never heard of Volunteer Vettes, but your right they do list the harness I need. They're closed now so I'll call tomorrow. Your a life saver, tx again.

                      Joe, do you have the two complete amplifiers? If so, that should be all the wiring you need. There really is no "harness" per se.

                          The amps where only on FM Stereo radios.

                          Plain Am or AM/FM did not have that configuration.

                              There is a single amplifier in the base AM/FM. I don't recall how it is wired but is mounted to the upper dash.

                                  For no stereo, there is a connector on the back of the radio for a wiring harness to the convector on the dash. There is another output on the radio for the speakers. This is the wiring harness that the OP is looking for. It is in a Y configuration for attachement to the left and right speakers.

                                      I was able to order the needed harness from Volunteer Vette. It was in stock and will be delivered on Sat.
