Re: High Mileage C-5
You might want to take a look for testimonials in the archives in the C5 section of the Corvette Forum. These cars seem to be pretty reliable even after logging lots of miles. My '04 Z06 is very reliable - but shame on me, I only have 7500 miles on it.
Cheers!

Re: High Mileage C-5
I've had 3 C5's. Overall very reliable cars. I used them as daily drivers and they are great cars. Items to watch for: failing gas tank sending units (usually show up when gas tank is less than half), You have to replace front wheel hubs about 75K, engine idler belt tensioner usually ends life this side of 100k, door lock/window control module about 50K, watch for noisey rear end clutch packs, fuel injectors and fuel filters are very dependent on how often each are serviced. Don't hesitate to buy a well maintained example. Good Luck

Re: High Mileage C-5
I have a 150k km 1999 car which I drive daily. So far:
1) broken generator
2) broken right door window motor
3) broken headlight gears (replaced with bronze gears)
and obviously the normal stuff like brakes, tires, etc. All together not too bad...
