    40 Years Ago Today

    Well, we're up to 40 years now. Just about this time, or maybe about 45 minutes earlier, on this date, I was delivered my new 1969 Corvette convertible. I was "saddled" with payments of $126.61 a month for 3 years. Don't laugh; that was a LOT of money in 1969.

                              The MSRP on my 1969 was $5005. Inflation-adjusted that equates to $29,077 in today's dollars.
