Anyone know where to get the correct fuel pump for my L-71?

So, based on last weeks discussion, it is clear to me that I need the 40482 pump that with the fitting angled towards the engine as the original. The problem is the 40482 pump I have with the AC stamp has the wrong fitting, it sits parallel to the oil pan. Worse, the right 40482 pump with the correct fitting at the bottom doesn't have the AC stamp?

So what do I do?

anyone know where to get the actual correct pump?

I got a rebuilt original 40482 through Corvette Central that was correct. It was their part number 352239.

ah, ha.... the trick is to find a rebuilt original. What did that cost?

Jacob, I have an original pump that needs to be rebuilt. I've been told repeatedly for years that the 482 pumps are not rebuildable.I've held on to the original hoping someday that may change. In the meantime the only alternative I'm aware of is to buy a repro. Lou

Jacob, you got some pretty good advice on the Corvette Central connection.
I had my original "restored" by a well known vendor who has received multiple bad reviews on the TDB. It came back looking terrible, after my spending over $100 for the restoration, and multiple calls to find out why it was months late.
NOS units are out there, however (A) very, very expensive, and (B) a risk as to what the condition of the rubber component inside is like.
I use a NOS, correct era for "the show" (not for sale), and a CC remake for the street. This pic shows two NOS units originally purchased in the late 1970s or early 1980s.
