    Safety Glasses

Does anyone have a recommendationon on how to protect your eyes while working under your car?
I use plastic safety glasses but they always fog-up & scratch easily.
Take them off & it's not long until I regret it.
    Looking for a recommendation. Thanks

The wood working type that fit tight to your face and have small vent holes is what I use when under the body cleaning the fiberglass.

They are quite flexible and seal good against your face keeping stuff out. I tape up some of the holes too along the top above the eyes.

The hard plastic type are useless at keeping stuff out of your eyes.

There are 100's of safety glasses available today. Look on online at places like lab safety supply or Northernsafety.com
For general machine work I use the wrap arounds, for grinding I use goggles and sometimes a full face sheild.

        Tom,

You can try buying Anti-fog safety glasses or an anti-fog safety glass cleaner. Do a Google search to find products available.

This may sound funny, but spray the inside with Pledge, that is what I spray, on my hockey shield to keep it from fogging up.

              Re: Safety Glasses

There are also safety glasses now that look like regular glasses and have a removable foam seal that seals tight to your face. The seal is easy to remove for when you are not on your back scraping debris.

On very humid days here in South Texas I use a little dishwashing soap on the lenses. Rub on with fingers then rinse & dry.

Elvex makes bifocals, if you need them.
