Visor hardware for midyears all the same?

    Guys,

Was the screw and nut that holds the visor onto the bar all the same from 63 through 67?

I'm have the wrong kind of hardware in one visor right now.

    Just curious.

      Ray,
Thanks for the picture, but that doesn't tell me if 67 visor hardware is the same as 63-66 visor hardware.

        Hi Chris,
Yes, all the Mid-Year visor attaching hardware was the same.
Thanks, again for bringing your car to Iowa. Nicely done.

Chris - Something to be aware/careful of....I bought new special visor adjustment screws from Corvette Central to replace my originals that had some deterioration. I also invented a tool for the nut end by grinding a short slot in a flat blade screwdriver with my cutoff tool.

3 of the 4 new screws snapped with hardly any torque at all (and it takes a lot to keep the visors from drooping). I chalked it up to inferior imported steel and put my originals back in. The originals can be tightened significantly without any problem. Tim

Tim, thanks for the heads up.

I am not buying repops, I'm buying originals that are in better condition than mine.

I also have had trouble with the repo's breaking. Don H.
