    C2 Radio Operating Instructions

Several months ago, I started a research project on the radio "operating Instruction" booklet that was included in the IP compartment of all new 63-67's that were equipped with radio. I never completed my research and I would like to gather the missing info.
I need the part number shown on the inside of the folder.

The correct GM part number can be found in the various AIM's on the "misc shipping list" page. (attachment below)

Below is the list of what I have so far. Still need 64, 65 and 67.

    1962---------7271626

    1963---------7282755 AM Radio
    1963---------7285127 FM 1st printing (Feb?-Mar? 63)
1963---------7286857 FM 2nd printing (Mar? to end of 63 prod)

    1966---------7291985

    Thanks

Thanks Bill. I'll correct what we have and look for the number for the 64 Pocket Guide.

That's very strange. I know the 64 and 65 were two different booklets. One states "New For 1964" in the text inside and the other states "New For 1965".

I think there was a discussion on this here some time ago and someone posted the two different numbers from the 64 and 65 AIM's. I don't have either of 64 or 65 AIM's here.

                Re: C2 Radio Operating Instructions

Different AIM dates are used by different vendors, my '64 AIM shows a section 14 sheet A3 release date of 5/28/63, with the last revision 4/20/64 to add the aluminum wheel card. No revisions to the FM card shown, '65 reference is an early one also with last revision dated 10/64, no revioions to the FM booklet indicated. I have another copy of the '65 aim from a different vendor in the shop, I'll look at it tomorrow to see if anything changed. It could have been a running change at the book level not requiring a part number change at the car plant possibly.

I dug out a little info that agrees with your 7288001 for the 64 "Pocket Guide". I'll leave the 65 "pocket Guide" part number as is with a question mark until we can confirm.

Also dug out the AM-FM "Pocket Guide" that I have and on the first page, it states "All new, all transistor Delco radio -now optional equipment in 1964 GM cars".

                  Thanks again.
