1967 horn wire with ac? one more time

The left horn has 3 wires that unite at the horn plug and then a 18 inch wire comes off them, not long enough to reach the right horn, but the right horn has its own wire anyway. All are green and look factory, what is the 18 inch wire for? All 3 wires have the black female spade end on, I,m talking about the 3 wire junction, the 18 wire and the wire on the right.

The right horn(pass. side) is mounted to a bracket on the inter fender panel which is fiberglass. Since the horn needs to be grounded, there is a wire under the horn bracket bolt to the core support.

See the Assembly Manual, section C60, sheet B1, item #9 for the horn ground wire.

          Keith,

Not sure anyone answered your question. So I took a look a my 67 S/B w/o AC with it's original untouched harness, as well as my 67 wiring diagram and also in the AIM for the C60 wiring.

My 67 horns (also untouched) have only two green wires to the driver's side horn at the black connector, and one green wire to the passenger side horn, black connector. One of the green wires at the drivers side horn comes from the horn relay (only one green wire there) and is the feed to the horns. The other green wire goes back through the harness and goes to the passenger side horn.

I can't see where any of these green wires connected to the horn have anything to do with the A/C system. The green wires are only energized, when the horn relay is grounded through the horn button on the steering column.

Maybe some hotdog in the past added an auxiliary horn, siren, or whistle, thus the extra feed wire. Remember those old OOH-GAA horns, us hotdogs used to use to get the ladies attention

Take a look in the area within 18" of the drivers side horn, see if you see any extra mounting holes
