    Fuel Injection C-1 Air Cleaner

I have gathered most of the parts needed to complete my 1961 FI project car. I am in need of a 1961 distributor shield and air cleaner with the large X. While at Carlisle I located a person that may have both. I believe that there are two good manufactures for the reproduction the FI air cleaner. How would I determine the differences between the reproduction air cleaner and an original air cleaner. This information would also be useful when judging solid axle FI cars.

    Thanks for any information

Ray; I would recommend you purchase the aclnr from Cranes corvette supply in San Diego. I was the senior restoration and shipping manager for his company in the mid 90's when research and development for the C1 fuel aclnrs were underway. He didn't miss anything. His aclnrs have the correct drawmarks, the correct tooling marks-they are a work of art. I believe you will be very happy with his product-I would be!!

I second the Crane a/c. He used my NOS 62 for his pattern, and I found it very difficult to tell the difference between the repro and my original.
