What is the stall speed for the torque converter in powerglides for 1956 Corvettes and passenger cars?

The number I have typically seen is around 1500 RPM. Other may have something more specific.
You can always test and find out. Just need a tach and an open roadway.

OK, maybe this will make more sense.
I am looking at replacing the powerglide with a Turbo 350. The 350 comes with a 2200 stall speed converter. That seems like too much.
What stall speed converter would be appropriate for a stock 56 passenger car engine?- Top

Has anyone ever put a Turbo 350 behind a 265 engine? I was looking at the starter mounting arrangement yesterday. The starter bolts to the powerglide adapter ring.
It looks to me like that powerglide adapter ring has to come off to put the Turbo 350 in there.

sorry ! all I can think of is using a 60's starter located on the engine and drill the two holes in the engine flat pad for the bolts

Drilling the block insn't an option, so I guess that means I am stuck with the cast iron powerglide.
What did aluminum powerglides do for starter mounting?
