I am not sure what you mean by "hold water".
When comparing the ST-12 and the AIM, here is what I see:
The height adjustment is done by the bracket the bumper attaches too. The bolt hole through the frame is slotted. Note 4 of sheet 7 in the AIM tells you to adjust the bracket so the clutch pedal is the same height as the brake pedal. I haven't done this yet, I am just quoting the manual.
According to the AIM, the original set up for the clutch bracket assembly is hole B and slot C. The ST-12 gives the procedure to change the bolts to hole A and slot C, as well as changing the clutch pedal push rod so the bend is in the opposite direction. The AIM shows the bend going up for the standard position and the ST-12 shows the bend going down for the alternate reduced pedal travel. The original pedal travel is approximately 6.5" and the reduced pedal travel is approximately 4.5".
