    Bill,

I am not sure what you mean by "hold water".

When comparing the ST-12 and the AIM, here is what I see:

The height adjustment is done by the bracket the bumper attaches too. The bolt hole through the frame is slotted. Note 4 of sheet 7 in the AIM tells you to adjust the bracket so the clutch pedal is the same height as the brake pedal. I haven't done this yet, I am just quoting the manual.

According to the AIM, the original set up for the clutch bracket assembly is hole B and slot C. The ST-12 gives the procedure to change the bolts to hole A and slot C, as well as changing the clutch pedal push rod so the bend is in the opposite direction. The AIM shows the bend going up for the standard position and the ST-12 shows the bend going down for the alternate reduced pedal travel. The original pedal travel is approximately 6.5" and the reduced pedal travel is approximately 4.5".

      Dennis:

"hold water" means bend down. That's the way it's shown in Corvette News Volume 2, number 3 for the high pedal position. This illustration is much clearer than the AIM or ST-12, but it could be wrong...

What I love is when you order the AIM and it turns up without section 4 of sheet 7. I thought it was strange not to have a clutch section. I better get on to the NCRS book shop for the missing pages. Stewy

          Bill,

Thanks, I never heard that before. It would appear then that the ST-12 illustration and the information you have matches.

For all those with 1962 (probably other C-1 yrs, as well) you will find the "clutch pedal repositioning and free play adjustment on pages 65 and 66 of the "Owners Guide".

                Stewy -

                Section 7 covers the clutch.

                    Stewart,

Glad I could finally help someone else, I know I have received a lot of help here.
