What about Zip's

Hi Guys,

I need a pair of new strut rods "dog bones" for my 61. I tried to get them from Corvette Central but with no luck. Out till Mid October. Only place that has them is Zip's. Any feed back on them? No experience myself.

I recently placed a very large order with Zip. I received everything within a week except 2 items that were backordered and they arrived a few days later. Earlier this year, I ordered 10 items from Corvette Central. They shipped 1 item right away. The rest were backordered and it took over 3 months to get them. Never again.

I like Zip's, they usually have everything in stock, and shipping is quick, although a little high priced. I use them almost exclusively now.

Great bunch of guys at Zip. They have let the MAC Chapter use their business location for chapter judging events and judging/tech sessions whenever we asked.

BEFORE I jumped into the pool and bought my 1st vette I shopped at Carlisle to get an education. While there I picked up a compettitors cataloge. Once I got home and read it I found some "interesting" comments about ZIP (not positive). Well, as time went by I ignored those comments, made a purchase or two and found they were as you all said. No problems, fast service and reasonable pricing.

It does appear that those that are hard-core restorers have prefrences, in terms of suppliers, on some specific items and that may be the case.

However, One common denomonator I have found with most suppliers is I have gotten parts with part ID stickers from more than one supplier. In fact, my personal record is 1 part with the stickers from 4 different suplers!! GO figure!

Zip Products has been around for a long time. 2nd generation running it now. Nice people to do business with. Also they are very good to me. Highly recommend them. JD

I have had very good luck with Zip Products. I am not sure if he is still there , but I would ask for J.T. Stafford the next time you call them. His customer service was so outstanding ,that I called the president of Zip to tell him what a positive experience it was dealing with J.T.

I have had no problems with them on the recent restoration of
a 1968 convertible. Actually they reproduce some hard-to-find
pieces (fiber optics, decklid, and bumper pieces) that nobody
else makes.
