1970 driveshaft stencil paint

Does anyone know how the paint for the stencil markings was applied on the driveshaft, was it sprayed , rolled on or brushed Thanks Ed

Ed, I sprayed my 72 sm blk. shaft, it may not be correct, but its a tough call looking at from under the car.

I'm reasonably confident it was spray paint. Below is a picture of an original that I picked up from '70 Corvette Registry. It's pretty clearly spray paint to me based upon the paint pattern. Also attached is a picture of my restored drive shaft.
