68 radiator to expansion tank hose inner fender clamp

I'm restoring a 68 coupe with an aluminum radiator and expansion tank. The retainer that secures the hose between the radiator and expansion tank to the inner fender is missing. There appears to be a 1/4 inch hole about 3/4 inch from the top of the passenger side inner fender about 6 inches back from the core support where a retainer might have been used to secure the hose. The A.I.M. (pg H241) shows a number 3825551 retainer in that approximate location but doesn't show a screw to hold it to the inner fender. I need help determining what this retainer looks like, how it's secured, and where I could purchase one. Pictures would help. Thanks. Ed

I'm sure a picture would hepl, but I don't have one. There is a whole series of retainers used on GM cars that have a small tip projecting from the back side. This tip pushes into a hole wherever the retainer is supposed to go.

Now you know how it is fastened -- you just need to find out the configuration.

Eddie, as Terry said its a black plastic tie strap that has a clip that locks into the hole. I was just doing some work on a friends 68 conv 327-350 that had those clips, I removed the radiator and hoses from it.

Okay, Thanks to you that replied. I now know what to look for. This ought to be easy to find since so many vettes had this set up. I'll try the Dr. Rebuild catalog and if that doesn't work I'll try to get a used one. Thanks again. Ed
