70 Seat Back Strap Release Bracket

Need some help determining the finish on the seat back strap bracket. I'm not sure if it's a black oxide or painted. The underside appeares painted, but the top doesn't? Please share any thoughts.

If you are talking about the bracket that attaches the "strap" to the seat bottom, it should be a black or dark gray phosphate finish.

I got knockec off-line twice in the last hour trying to post these links. Differenc computer now, so we will see if this works better. Pictures of a seat from my 1970 already posted to another thread. You would have never found them with a search because the thread was about 1972 seats.

Well I can't figure put how to post the pictures again. I guess once you give them to NCRS they own them and you don't.

Joe, there was a post a few months ago on that bracket, I have a 72 that I beleive to be untouched it has a semi gloss black- dipped bracket that has runs in the paint, there was alot of discussion on this ,bracket I think that it was either way blk phosphate or dipped blk. im sure they'll be others that will chime in.
