C1 Door Molding

I want to remove these molding strips from my door, do I have to remove the door panels from the inside to get to the clips holding the strips?

On a "53"-"55" they snap on to the clips. They should pop right off using
a flat thin tool. Be careful tho with the paint and stainless.
The Gull Wings, if you have to remove them, have a nut type fastener.

You could probably get the trim off the clips without removing the door panels, but if you want to remove the clips or re-install the trim the door panels will have to come off.
