Please identify this C1 gas cap

I have two of these caps. On came with my '60 FI big brake car and the other ???
Cap has an S in the middle of the top rivet, stamped VACUUM on one edge and PRESSURE on the other edge, one of the tabs has a circled SM and the other tab has what appears to be a date code---8G17. Also has Motocraft stamped on it.
Sorry, couldn't get good photos of the stampings.
    Thanks,
    George

    Ok,
I am trying to copy/paste these images from my Picasa album without success. Any thoughts?

Click on START when your PC comes on then Click Documents ,then add a file (name) then put your camera or copy pic in it.

Re: Please identify this C1 gas cap

Sorry George there was 3 types of gas caps that were installed at the factory In 1958 - 60 3751027,3751022 and 3764641 and I'm afraid your photo was not one of them ? In 1961 they had trouble when turning hard right sometimes the fuel would spill out the vent hole on the cap. This cap is identified by the word vented stamped across the cap. Stewy

                George -

The pressure/vacuum cap in your photo isn't a C1 part, and was never used on a Corvette; have no idea what its original application was. All C1's after mid-'57 used non-vented gas caps (no valves, no vents, no holes).
