Pedals are new, replaced, odometer numbers are not straight. I wouldn't count on the mileage being only 37K. Save the Wave.

Looks like a really nice car. I especially like the black paint on the alternator stator.

I don't understand how a car like that could have gotten a Top Flight though. It does appear to be very nice original car but the undercoating on the chassis and condition of many other items would have probably dropped the car down to 2nd flight?

          Build number on door hinge

"668" in crayon on the top hinge, driver's door.

Was this the practice in 1967? Does everyone need to rush out to the garage with their kid's box of crayons?

          Looks pretty unmolested overall.

I bet the "668" is a dealer stock number.

Also to my eye the seats looks recovered, the door panels look replaced, the carpet has NO fade whatsoever so that makes me unsure if it's original as well as how it lays in the rear quarters. The air filter and fuel line filter are all incorrect/replacement. Love what appears to be original adhesive at the rear of the hood adhering the weatherstripping. Keep in mind, the car scored 93.2 at the regional 7 years ago and got .8 in driving points to get the TF 94. I recently saw an L79 coupe that had Top Flighted multiple times, but more than 8 years prior. It's condition had "changed" since it's Top Flight. I passed on the car as it basically needed redoing throughout. Otherwise, this looks to be a nice no stories car. Love the paperwork on it too. Regards. ARA

I know it's supposed to be original paint but it sure looks like 65 yellow - not the darker 67 yellow.

No shoulder harness A85 on the window sticker.

Interesting POP. It is all metal, not dymo label for the owner's name. The book says "replacement" so maybe this is how they did it? My 68 has a POP like that (all metal stamping) and some folks look at it with a wary eye.

My 70 has an all metal POP. This was done at the dealership when the car changed hands. I also have the paperwork that documents when this was done.

This car looks really nice. I'll leave it to others to give opinions on whether it's "Top Flight" material. Even if it isn't, it appears to be original enough to be a heck of a good Survivor.

The only inconsistency I can see is with the sellers description. They say it is "California born". Last time I checked all 67s were "born" in St.Louis. If they mean it was delivered in California then something appears to be missing. I don't see any evidence of the AIR system (K19) that I believe was required on cars delivered in Calif. The block is stamped HT for a non-AIR L79. The POP appears to show a delivery dealer of Eugene OR. All evidence would suggest the sellers description is incorrect. Probably just a minor thing but kind of interesting.

                            Cheers,

Nice car, needs some cleaning(undercoating) and so it has a rebuilt carb
so what. Original unmolested cars are near impossible to find. This one looks nice. Need pad authentication by Al Grenning. Replacement POP"s were done when there was a dealer trade involved and they were prepared at the dealer with an adressograph machine hence the metal plate. The harness may have been added if the window sticker is real.
