    Trim Parts

Can anyone give me an opinion on the quality of the products made by trim parts. Will they fit as delivered or will I have to make some adjustments? Specifically instrument cluster for C1.

Wes, I have not seen the cluster, but if it like most of their parts, they are better than OEM. I never had any qualms about selling or using their parts.

I used a number of their emblems for my restoration and I would agree that they were very good quality.

I consider Trim Parts to be one of the best reproduction sources there is. Period. Many of their parts are made from original tooling. The difference is that there is a lot more attention to detail. Whenever I see that a part is manufactured by Trim Parts, all my qualms go away regarding purchasing it. That's all I need to know.

My experience is limited to their repro gas door emblem for '66 model year. Excellent workmanship and vibrant colors ... I was so impressed that I wrote a letter to their QA guy expressing how much I liked the product.

The founder of the company, the late Richard Miller, was a stickler for detail. He came around visiting vendors at swap meets asking for suggestions, ideas, criticism, etc.

The late founder was an Ex-GM guy from Inland division, the original source of the GM parts. He has always had superior quality in his parts, and it appears that the company has carried that attantion to detail beyond him.

I recently purchased a lower cluster housing for my 62 at Carlisle. My original wad cut open above the oil pressure gauge. I was unaware of a difference in a 61-62 housing and the earlier housings. I wonder if Trim Parts is building all variations?
