    54 Powerglide Tube

    Can someone tell me what the length of the dipstick tube should be from where it comes out of the tranny? The tube on the car I'm working on is about 8", and the dipstick is about 14-1/2" long. The manual says that the dipstick should be 18" long, so we need a longer tube?

      tube is 8" not counting the 3/4" or so that is down in the powerglide case. overall length of dipstick is 14 1/2". mike
