After waiting nearly 2 months for it, I received my updated Restorer CD v35.4 and to be brutally honest, the performance is unacceptable. On XP computer with 1 GB of RAM, it took 22 minutes to load with no other apps running. On our Vista laptop with 4GB it took 6 minutes. I took a look at CD and the app is now nearly 500MB which explains it
After launching it, I see that we are still stuck with 800x600 resolution message which is disappointing with technology advances over last 10 years!
I'm sure there are explanations and history behind why it is the way that it is, but with all the technology advances and improvements made, it is puzzling and frustrating why NCRS staff (who are underpaid or not paid at all) cannot produce a product that works decently.
From what I understand, an external vendor was cause of delays and appreciate that NCRS staff did all they could, but they should accept the responsibility and go find another vendor who can produce a CD that we can be proud to use.
