Can you believe it! Another floor jack question

I need a floor jack and have been monitoring the responses coming in on various jacks and their performance. After reviewing several of the recommended jacks from on-line reviews there were concerns about speed of lowering. Some stated that they would not use this jack on their "baby". Craftsman from Sears did get some bad reviews depending on the model. I could not find entries from Sam's or Costco.
What I really want is a great floor jack that consistently lowers at a speed that is not difficult to regulate. Are there any recommendations out there. This is important and I want to get it right the first time unlike everything else I've done in life!!!.

I bought the all aluminum low profile jack from Sears and it works just fine.
Lightweight and easy to use, I would recommend it. This houldnt be a hard one for you. Good luck!

I have two Sears floor jacks, the oldest over 25 years old and have always had complete control of let down speed on both.

The Hein-Werner 2 ton floor jack model HW93642 should meet all your needs . This floor jack is and has been the industry standard for as long as I can remember . I've been using them for years they are reliable and durable and if necessary repairable. And Made in the U.S.A. Here's the link

Lowering a floor jack all comes down to "feel". Nascar wants the utmost speed in theirs while us normal people want to usually ease it down. If you have never used a floor jack before lowering it is a simple process. Just turn the relief valve counter-clockwise slowly at first until you get used to it. Just takes a little practice. Guys in a hurry usually let it down too fast then complain about the jack. Good Luck!

Agree with Jim. Excellent floor jack. I recommended this same one a few weeks ago. Not the cheapest, but one of the best.

Me too. They are easy to regulate.

Thanks for your recommendations. I don't mind paying a price for something that is worth the money!

Find the jack with the longest chassis, minimum saddle height and maximum rise. These criteria allow you to get under any part of the car and lift to the max height.
