66 oil dip stick tube

The dip stick tube has broken off down at the block, and I can't get arip on it. Does anyone have any ideas how I might remove the end that is still in the block. Its a 327, and still in the car.

Actually tried an easy out, but it would not budge.

Can you drop the pan and knock it out from the backside?

Use a 1/4" tap, screwed into the tube just far enough to get some engagement, and pull it straight out.

John, thanks we are tapping now, and then going to put a bolt in for the pull.

Put some vasoline in the tube to catch the metal shavings
