My glove box lock was not keeping the compartment closed, so I disassembled the lock and found that the tensioning spring was distorted. Straightening didn't work, so I looked for a replacement spring but can only find the complete lock assembly. I would prefer to keep the original lock. Does any one supply that spring, or do I need to look for a similar spring in a hardware, etc.? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Dave

Re: 1966 Glove box lock spring
Dave,
Definately Pat Kraus as Gary said. If it has anything to do with locks or lock related, he's the man. I've been to his place and he fixed me up with everything I needed. Coding tumblers, matching lock sets, cutting and stamping key codes in knockouts. And he's a good guy.
Another vote of confidence,
