O ring verus lip seal which seems to work better?

Am soon to redo my calipers on my '66 and will to make the decision between using new o-ring technology or the older lip seal. Is o-ring that much better and does it need to be used in conjunction with s/s inserts?

Some say the old technology is fine as long as rotor runout is within tolereneces. Personally I went with ZTI,(zero tolerence,Inc), years ago and haven't had any problems.

Second part of your question..... no, SS is not a requiremnet. In fact I bought when the guy that devoloped them was also selling. He said as long as the piston bores could be polished, it was better to go that route than with sleeves.

I switched to o ring seals on the recommendation of VBP,when I did my calipers. I am very happy with the product and their customer service.
