71 BB Engine Ground Strap

I am trying to figure out the location and sequence of installation of the ground stap. The one end goes on the top side of the starter support bracket with a star washer between the cable end and the heat sheild for the starter and then a bolt with a lock washer or a flat washer,
The other end of the cable mounts on the inside of the engine mount bracket with a star washer between it and the engine bracket. Does this bolt have a lock washer or flat washer on it. What head markings do the two bolts have and what type of finish on them. Can someone confirm this.

Sheldon if you have an AIM for that year Corvette then that washer stacking would be illustrated. I don't know off the top of my head where the page or area that would be in. Some one else may chime in with that location. Paul 18046
The bolt at the starter support goes like this support, star washer, cable end and bolt. The cable end at the frame is head of bolt forward then star washer, cable end, frame and nut on the aft side of frame. No other washers then the star at ether end. I think the frame end should be stacked with the star washer between the frame and the cable end for a better ground. But that is what the AIM shows. The bolt finish I have seen both Black Oxide and Cad or Zinc plated. Head markings TR, M, RBC, and other commonly use markings use for this size and grade bolt. Paul 18046
