Interior Paint Colors

I want to touch up a couple of very small chips around the clock of my 66. The interior is red. Does anyone sell touch up paint?

Larry, try Eckler's. It's not in the paper catalog, but they carry the small bottles. Bill.

I checked with them and the best thing they had to suggest was what they called "Vinyl Paint". It was in a 12 oz. spray can. I will probably try it if I do not get any other suggestions.

I seem to remember that in Hemmings a few Companies advertise that they will make spray cans to match any color you order. Don't know of anyone who ever bought from them. Good luck.

any body shop supply store can do that for you. you just need a paint code

I do not know the paint code. How can I find it?

I would also try having someone mix it locally as you can provide them a sample. I not Bill Hirsch (in Hemmmings) and others may be able to do it. I do not know how close the '66 red comes to the interior red but years ago we used to add talc powder to paint to get semi-gloss and flat/matte.

I do not know the paint code. How can I find it?

Larry --- if you can find someone that can work with the original codes, it should be Ditzler (PPG) Low Gloss (3 degrees), code DL 71497 (interior Ralley red). From the interior refinish paint code charts for 1966 model year.

You can see this in the Corvette 3 gloss column of the attached chart. The equivalent Dupont formulation code is also shown on the same line. Appears there was no Rinshed-Mason code for this application.
