I recall a article that was in the Restorer magazine about original 3810 main body differences and service replacement carbs. If someone can direct me to the Restorer vol # I would appreciate it.

I have the "everything" version of the Restorer CD, and searches for "3810" and "Holley 3810" only brought up four articles, none of which relate to what you're after.

I think the article you are lookng for was in Restorer Volume 31, number 3, Winter 2005. Great article by Everett Ogilvie, but on 3247 carburetors for a 66 L72.

He compares original 3247's with service replacements. A lot of the things he brings out would also apply to 3810's, so if you are looking to tell the differences in 3810's, the article well worth reading.
