    online midyear birthday guide?

Is there a online midyear birthday guide any longer? I know it used to be linked to the WI NCRS page.

I too miss the Wisconsin site; other than the C2 Registry, mentioned above, here's another:

WOW, seems to be very conflicting dates here. I was told by the Dealer I bought from 3/28/67, Brandon's date is in Dec. 66, and that last site shows April 67. Who's to bless and who's to blame? Bill

                      Re: online midyear birthday guide?

Just be aware that the dates are just an estimate and may not be your actual date. The cause of this is that not all production days/shifts are reflect in the calculation algorithm. As an example, April 20, 1963, a Saturday, was a production day. This day is not in all the tools. The C2 Registry has it included.

A way to help refine the calculations is, if you have documentation as to the day you car was made, pass it along to the tool maintainer.

Both sites previously mentioned concur with my trim tag.

                          Re: online midyear birthday guide?

Chevrolet production records indicate Feb, 1966 ended at VIN 115283 and Mar, 1966 production finished at VIN 118091. So, your VIN falls between these two production 'snapshots'...you simply interpolate to get its approximate final assy date.

NO system is perfect since to arrive at an absolutely correct date, the system has to remove non-work days from the calendar, comprehend any/all work stoppage events (rare), and consider any 'extra' work periods (e.g. added shifts, authorized overtime, Etc.). But, with a 1966 calendar, you'll get close.

What you do NOT want to do is go by the cars' trim tag! That date speaks to the body sub-assy build. With two body shops (AO Smith in Ionia, Michigan, and Chevrolet in St. Louis), there CAN be skew between a given car's body build date and its actual final assy date! So, you go by the actual VIN and Chevrolets end of month production records.

                          Happy calculating!

I think you mix up answers here. The C2 Registry is calculating: Approximate birthday 194376S117564: March 25, 1966
