1978 Pace car mystery label / decal

I was helping my brother with some general cleaning on his 600 mile L82 / 4speed pace car and when we were done, we found this decal. Can't seem to figure out where it came from. Anybody help ??

It says, NOTICE do not pry on reservoir. BX

    Here's a picture of it.

Tom, BX is the broadcast code for the power steering pump. Can you scan and post as a jpg?

          Thanks Tom !

Yep, figured it out after Roys tip. I can take a better picture of this label and email it to you. I just shot that one with my phone and it was a bit fuzzy. Drop me a PM with your email address and I'll get you a shot of it.

The label should have been located on the side of the reservoir as shown in this generic drawing.

Photo and schematic and you got an NCRS tech article.

I bought one of the first 78 silver anniversary in Ca. I ordered it before any one even knew what it was going to look like, even me!. At the same time I ordered TWO pace cars because I knew that GM calling them an "anniversary" model and which was the first time a car company used that wording people would go NUTS to get one. Before the silver got here I sold the TWO pace cars that I paid 15K each for, that when I got the silver 78 it was free to me at 12K. It was my wife's Xmas present . One of the best deals I ever did

By the way a month later I bought TWO 1970 LT1's long blocks from the same dealer , installed one in the silver anniversary and painted the engine blue then took it to LA drag strip and ran against those 4 speed out of state pace cars and beat them every time. The owners asked me to open the hood and seeing the blue engine they wondered why they lost. I just told them they must have gotten a bad Corvette. He He
