I have a friend going nuts buying 54 Corvette horn steering wheel repair kit from a couple of dealers that don't work and wondered why!
Most kits sold as Corvette are from Chevy kits that don't work because the plastic bushing are to large in diameter ( if there caged like bottom pic) they are from a car and will not fit the Corvette horn ring holes. Vary hard to locate and I don't know if there repro'ed the Corvette plastic bushing are all separate pieces (clear in color see pic top left) that is the difference in kits. If you cant locate the original kits you can separate the car bushing and ether enlarge the horn ring holes or have the plastic bushing cut down to size.If the correct kit (is) out there for get this trivia.
