    Confused about judging manuals

I have the Corvette judging Reference Manual, 7th Edition.

Yet, the NCRS store shows a "new" 7th edition with a different cover than I have. Mine is a blue cover, and the one in the store is full color with a different picture.

Do I need an updated copy?

An updated one was issued a few years ago containing yellow pages denoting items that had changed. My updated one has blue cover.

The newest edition is always the best to have. Many errors are corrected and newly discovered facts are added. Some of the newer additions include photos as well !!

Ok, so my question is this.

Is the color front cover manual on the NCRS store any different than the blue cover one I have?

          Re: Confused about judging manuals

I don't think we can answer that question because we can't SEE your specific JRM book! It started out being released with all pages being white paper. Then, there were running changes made/adopted (e.g., new standard deduction policies for paint and fiberglass).

Books in print but not yet distributed were modified to add various errata pages that were printed on yellow page stock. Later, those errata pages were integrated into the book with the cover layout changed to the 'new' format (colored/stylized).

So, without looking over your shoulder, flipping through your specific copy of the book, it's really HARD to answer an 'omnibus' question on what you have vs. what's current... BTW, rumor has it that a new 8th Edition is in the pipeline.

Ok, well thanks guys. I know my copy has a few yellow pages in it. Maybe I'll just wait for the 8th edition. I don't reference it all THAT much. Usually just for the standard deduction tables.

I persume what will be new in there is the Challange Cars (see last Restorer).

Maybe Roy also spend a couple of words in the manual about how to offer points by the judging chairman using the new data entry module???

              regards,
              Rob.

The current seventh edition is no different than the previous seventh edition the cover has changed. Next edition will be eigth and we are working on it now.
