In my 63 coupe and 66 convertible, very hot engine heated air blows into the interior from the space between the end of the dash (on each side) and the door. Its not coming from the vents in the kick panel or from down low in the foot wells. It almost seems to be coming in from the area between the leading edge of the door and the body (near the top hinge). Basically, if you hold your hand at the end of the dash where it is closest to the door, the hot air boils out of that slot. I cannot see how the engine heated air is getting into that spot, so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks,

Re: engine heat in interior of 63 and 66
I do not know if this helps, but....
At the bottom of the A pillar (front post that has the door hinge bolted) there is a hole in the bottom. This hole is there to drain water to the road when it rains. It also acts as a small vent to circulate air.
Check the hole from the bottom and see if it plugged. I taped a 1 inch hose to my shop vac, removed the vent grill and removed 40 years of leaves and other assorted junk to clean it out. The water now drains and I do think the interior on my 63 is a bit cooler.
