Plastic lower fan shroud extension

I would like to ID a shroud extension I had in my garage, dont even remember how I got it,but just discovered it in the corner. Black plastic like 1970s shroud material part # is 3956089, that number is molded in at the lower cutout at very bottom of the part.
Any input appreciated. TIA, Craig

Mine is missing so I checked my AIM. It is a for a '72 LS-5.

Is it altered or is the notch correct, someone might know.

Thanks. The notch in the bottom is correct since I see injection flash around the edges from when it was molded. It was not cut.
