this is all i could find. The ecklers gel coat has a wax in it that comes to the top as you spray.
Then you have to wash it down with solvent to remove the wax before you sand it.

Heres a little suggestion not included with the instructions. You can add up to 10% acetone to the mix on Ecklers gel coat and the final surface will be much, much smoother. This is an excellent product and I have used it many times, but finally after years of struggling to sand down heavy orange peel ( cures pretty hard, I use 40-80 grit wet to knock it down and have plenty of tooth for primer bite) I called the tech line and asked them if there was something I could thin it with, this is what he told me, I tried it, and was thrilled. I would never shoot it again without it! Remember to follow the pot life time, it kick fast and once it does you are going to toss the gun, might want to just buy a cheap $30 gun, use it and toss it!

Dave,
Make sure you use a gun with at least a 2.0 tip or larger if you can get one larger. Read the instructions on the pot life it is short and will JUNK the gun.
