69 windshield wiper question

There is a metal tab that protrudes from the bottom of the windhield that the wiper blades rest on, when parked, below the wiper door. Is that metal piece supposed to be body color or bare metal?

Jim flat black finish and in the channel a strip of rubber where the blade contacts the rubber is glued into place and seats slightly above the metal. Paul 18046

Thanks Paul. Not sure I've seen that piece of rubber in the catalogs but I'll look again. If not, do you suppose just a flat piece of rubber cut from a tube would be appropriate? Jim

Jim that may work take a look at Doc Rebuilds site they may have the rubber. Paul 18046
Check Corvette Central item #653029 under windshield wipers that's the rubber bumper.
