    In '65 base sb the alternator and both braces are assembled after engine painting. So the exhaust manifold shows orange paint signs but the '65 alternator and braces should not.

    The A/C and non-A/C alternator mountings are completely different in '65. The non-A/C mounting (on the passenger side) is as you noted, but with A/C, the alternator moved to the driver's side, and mounts exactly as it does in '66-'67. See the '65 A.I.M., section C60, sheet C2.

      I just wanted to cover '65 base engine with no air as it is a different animal compared to air car.

      Yes, I do know of the difference you described. I think we covered all the air, no air sb '65 and '66-'67 so there is no confusion on the alternator lower brace.
