C2 Fan Clutch CJ v CK

Is there a definitive answer yet as to what the CJ and CK mean? Know the length is 1.8 v 1.5 however at one time it was thought that the CK was for BB and CJ for small block.

If that is true (BB v SB) then the earliest the stamp would exist should be 1965 with the introduction of the 396. So a 63/64 fan would not have a stamp on it because only one fan existed, SB?

Getting ready for a show so need to do these small things such as the CJ and "This Side Up" stampings.

Alan, I just got my 64 small block Schwitzer bar clutch back from Fred Olivia yesterday and he put the CJ stamp on it. I could only assume since he is the for most expert on restoration of these if he put it on there it's necessary for my year. Only a judging will prove other wise.

The '63-4 JG sez both designs of clutches (Schwitzer and Eaton with the 1.8" shaft) were stamped "CJ". This continued at least through '67 for small-blocks, and the BB clutches (1.3" shaft) had the "CK" broadcast code.
